Files list context menu
Right-click a file in the Duplicate files or Remaining files list to bring up this menu. The menu works on the file you right-clicked, or on all the selected rows where that makes sense. The number of rows selected is shown at the top.
Opens the file in its usual application (Enter).
Image preview
Section titled “Image preview”Opens the Image preview window.
Open with
Section titled “Open with”Opens the file with one of the programs you have set up. Set up ‘Open with’ applications… lets you add programs - see ‘Open with’ applications.
Mark submenu
Section titled “Mark submenu”These commands mark files based on the file you right-clicked. If the list is filtered they only work within the filtered files.
- Mark all files of this type - for example all
.jpgfiles. - Mark all files found in this folder
- Mark all files found in this folder tree - the folder and all its subfolders.
- Mark all files found on this drive
On the Duplicate files list there are also location marking commands:
- Mark all files outside this folder that have a duplicate inside this folder
- Mark all files outside this folder tree that have a duplicate inside this folder tree
- Mark the files in this folder that have duplicates elsewhere.
- Mark the files in this folder tree that have duplicates elsewhere.
Unmark submenu
Section titled “Unmark submenu”The same as the Mark submenu, but unmarking files:
- Unmark all files of this type
- Unmark all files in this folder
- Unmark all files in this folder tree
- Unmark all files found on this drive
- Unmark all files outside this folder that have a duplicate inside this folder
- Unmark all files outside this folder tree that have a duplicate inside this folder tree
Mark all selected / Unmark all selected
Section titled “Mark all selected / Unmark all selected”Marks or unmarks all the selected rows. (Space toggles the marks on the selected rows.)
Unmark all
Section titled “Unmark all”Unmarks every file in the list (or the filtered list).
Invert marked files
Section titled “Invert marked files”Swaps the marked/not marked state of every file in the list (or the filtered list).
Protect folder tree / Unprotect folder tree
Section titled “Protect folder tree / Unprotect folder tree”Protects the file’s folder and everything beneath it, so the files can’t be marked or removed - or removes that protection.
Parent folders
Section titled “Parent folders”A submenu for each folder above the file’s folder, with the same folder commands - so you can mark, protect or filter a parent folder without having to find a file in it.
Filters
Section titled “Filters”- Filter to selected - Show only the selected rows.

- Filter this Group
- Clear filters

Ignore list
Section titled “Ignore list”Pro feature. Add files or folders to the Ignore list, so they are skipped in future scans:
- Add selected files to the ignore list
- Add this folder to the ignore list
The files are also dropped from the current results.
Dropping files from the list
Section titled “Dropping files from the list”These remove files from the list only - nothing is deleted from your drive.
- Drop selected from list - Remove the selected rows.
- Drop marked from list - Remove all marked files.
- Drop this folder tree from list - Remove every file in the folder and its subfolders.
Copy to clipboard
Section titled “Copy to clipboard”- Folder + File Name (F6) - The full path of the file.
- Folder (Ctrl+F6) - The folder name.
- File Name (Shift+F6) - The file name only.
- Hash - The file’s hash.
- Folder + File Name,Hash - The full path and the hash.
Show folder in File Explorer
Section titled “Show folder in File Explorer”Opens the file’s folder in File Explorer (Finder on macOS, your file manager on Linux) (Ctrl+Enter).
Send to Hash tool
Section titled “Send to Hash tool”Sends the selected files to the Hash tool (Ctrl+H).
Rename file
Section titled “Rename file”Renames the file (F2).
Refresh list
Section titled “Refresh list”Reloads the list (F5).
Properties
Section titled “Properties”Shows the file’s properties (Ctrl+P).
